This Easy Apple Crisp recipe is my go-to dessert during this season. It has a warm caramel sauce, spiced granny smith apples, and a delicious oat topping that is baked to bubbly, crispy perfection. Served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees (F).
Begin by preparing crisp topping. In a bowl, whisk flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
Add cold diced butter to dry ingredients and crumble together using hands or food processor. Mixture should resemble wet sand. Cool topping in fridge while preparing the apple filling.
In another bowl, whisk melted butter and flour until paste consistency. Then stir in water, lemon juice, vanilla extract, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mixture should resemble a "loose caramel."
Peel, core and slice apples. Pour "loose caramel" over sliced apples and toss until well coated.
Place coated apples in a greased baking dish and sprinkle an even layer of crisp topping. Bake in oven for 35 minutes until apple are tender and topping is golden brown.
Rest for 10 minutes and serve with ice cream. Enjoy!
